Physical Assessment
This will include assessing your:
This provides a complete picture of underlying factors and enables a diagnosis.
Your Chiropractor will give you a full ‘Report of Findings’, which will explain your diagnosis. There will also be time to have your questions answered.
An evidence-based program of care will be offered, designed to give you the best results in the long-term.
If any problems are found, that are not best dealt with by chiropractic alone, we will refer you to your GP for medical management / co-management.
Central to Chiropractic Care Plans are spinal and peripheral joint adjustments.
These are specific, precise, rapid movements of the joints. Adjustments are designed to gently and effectively re-establish healthy patterns in movement, posture, balance, and stability.
There are 3 Phases of Care:
Phase 1 – Intensive Care
The frequency of your adjustment sessions is the highest of any of the phases of care.
During this phase of care Chiropractic Adjustments work to:
A reassessment will take place after a specified number of adjustment sessions.
The reassessment will take the form of a formal re-exam and/or mutual agreement of the way ahead.
Phase 2 – Corrective Care
The intensity and duration of this phase is dependent on the severity of your problem, how long you have suffered from it, and what stresses / stressors you need to bear in your life. The frequency of care in this phase will largely depend on the results of your reassessment, but will not be as frequent as the intensive care phase.
Many people have a specific health or life goal in mind when they seek Chiropractic care. They have noticed that they are unable to do what they want to, or need to do; or that it is just more difficult now than before.
With better nervous system function your body has the best possible chance to restore you to health.
The aim of this phase is to remove interference to your body’s ability to heal and function optimally.
We are working to deliver your body functional and structural stability. Once stable, you are less likely to suffer set-backs and/or re-injury.
Phase 3 – Wellness Care
There are many people who come to us on a regular basis (e.g. once a month) who have little or no pain and no symptoms. This is a reversal of “the medical model” we are used to, when we only act when signs or symptoms are present.
People who continue chiropractic care, when they are well and active, do so to stay that way!
How much you benefit, and for how long, is up to you. We do not put limits on where the benefits may lead, we offer true health care and optimum life potential.
